HOPE Session Tomorrow Evening

Tomorrow from 6-8PM, at the Culinary School of Fort Worth, our chaplain, Mike Shreve, will host our first grief counseling HOPE session.  The Culinary School address is 6100 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76116 (just above La Madeleine on Camp Bowie).
If you have recently suffered the loss of a loved one, please join many others who are working through the same.  We will discuss remembering, depression, loss of sleep, loss of ambition, and other spiritual and psychological effects.

As always, we approach everything we do with Jesus as our center.  We hope you will be awed by His love and compassion.

Dr. Byrd

Hi Brian – I ran across this Dementia Prayer and wanted to share with you. Thanks for all you do. Candy (www.AllThingsDementia.com)

“Engage the mind, touch the heart, feed the soul”

Taken from “People with Dementia and the Local Church” -

    by Malcolm Goldsmith

“Lord, as we hold before you people with dementia
We are confronted by mystery and sadness,
    by ambiguity and confusion.
We pray for all who are engaged in research
looking for ways to prevent or slow down this condition,
    and,
We pray for all who seek to provide
imaginative and creative patterns and structures of caring.

May all who live with this disability
find that they are understood and supported,
    cherished and cared for, and
may those who look on, and endeavour
to stand alongside them, find encouragement and strength.

We give thanks that people with dementia
remain accepted and loved by you, and
we ask that their souls may be
    nourished and enlightened by the
presence and power of your Spirit.”
